Business & Music
More Similar Than You'd Think

Orchestras are made up of many different parts, just like a company and its employees. Orchestras are composed of a conductor and many musicians, divided into sections of similar instruments. The instruments work together to produce sounds that come together to make beautiful music. Similarly, a business includes many employees that are grouped into departments, with a CEO leading the company. The employees work together for the success of the company and to generate revenue. In both an orchestra and within a company, people must work with others in order to get the job done. Sometimes in both scenarios, people who have never worked together are thrown into a project and must collaborate to achieve the end goal, whether that be perfecting a piece of music in a short period of time or completing a successful marketing campaign for a new product. As can be learned from the YouTube video below, specifically at 2:50, the most important aspects of achieving this result are communication and teamwork. The musicians and employees can't start their projects by jumping in and each person doing their own thing. They must begin by communicating how they should work together and continue the communication throughout the entirety of the project.
